Minutes of Meeting - November 12, 2023

Shawn call the meeting to order with prayer at 2:20 pm. There were no visitors present. The Treasurer’s Report and Minutes of the October 8, 2023 were not available.
CORRESPONDENCE
Dave Smith of International CR&C emailed that our next CR&C Reunion will be for our 40th Anniversary instead of the 35th Anniversary.
EVENTS
Main Event: “Toy Drive and Car Show” at Legends Burgers - Saturday, November 18th from 2-5 pm. Bring a $10 or more unwrapped toy. The address is 8775 Baseline Road, Rancho Cucamonga. Sylvia moved, Robin seconded, and motion carried.
Riverside Local: “Cars & Coffee” – Harvest Christian Fellowship Saturdays from 8-10 am. Address is 6115 Arlington Ave in Riverside- church parking in the back on the far right. Tom moved, Robin seconded, and motion carried.
East IE Local: Perris Airport Car Show “Christmas Toy Drive” – Sunday, December 3rd from 1-4 pm. Bring a $10 unwrapped toy. Address is 2091 Goetz Road, Perris. Mouse moved, Shawn seconded, and motion carried.
DEVOTION
Shawn gave our meeting devotion. From the Book of Acts. Paul had numerous conflicts, but still his work continued for Christ. We need to recognize opportunities to share the gospel at car shows, daily lives, etc.
OLD BUSINESS
Tom & Sylvia participated in a Veterans Car Show in Cherry Valley to benefit the “Wounded Warrior Project”. They raised $1,000 along with a 50/50 of $400. There were 25-27 cars present.
T-shirts - Nick will talk to Chris, the owner, about a possible t-shirt order.. The minimum order is 24 t-shirts at approximately $15 apiece if you order the t-shirt using only the already approved CR&C artwork. Mouse will makeup order forms with the info Nick brings back.
NEW BUSINESS
Christmas Party – Garey & Teri Ford have graciously opened up their home for our Christmas Party on December 10th at 2:00 pm (our regular meeting date and time). Their address is ________________. Wear your Christmas Sweater or Outfit for a fun time of “Fellowship, Games, Food”! You must RSVP before Saturday, December 9th for Gate Access to the Four Seasons Housing Complex where they live. There will be no “Gift Exchange” this year.
Potluck Menu: Bring one of the following: Chili, Soup, Stew, or Salad
(In addition to bringing one of the Potluck Items above, feel free to bring your favorite Christmas dessert.)
2024 Planning – Mouse! moved to approve the following list of Car Shows and Events to put on our 2024 CR&C Chapter Calendar now; Sheri seconded and motion carried.
