Shawn called the August 13th Meeting to order with prayer at 3:05 p.m. Doug Gear from the Big Bear Car Show texted the Treasurer’s Report. As of today we have a balance in the bank of $764.55.


Correspondence - None


Events – Presented by Nick:

1. Main Event:  Farmer Boys on Friday, September 2nd, located at 16880 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Shawn moved, Nick seconded, and the motion was carried.

 

1. Local Event – Hemet Area:  Jack in the Box on Friday, August 18th, located at 3111 W. Florida Ave., Hemet. Dan moved, Mouse seconded, and the motion was carried.

 

1. Local Event – Ontario Area:  Legends Burgers on Saturday, August 19th , located at 8775 Base Line Rd., Rancho Cucamonga, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Nick gave our meeting devotion with a question of reflection he asked himself a couple of weeks earlier, “How is Your Worship?” Spiritual Examination in our own lives that we have a proper attitude and reverence in our own worship of God.


Old Business 


Lois reported that unfortunately her Pastor says their church doesn’t have insurance to cover a car show event that we could help the church with at this time.


Tom reported on the Compass Rose Classic Old Car Show at Westmont Riverside. Our Chapter had four cars there. Nick & Kat, Tom & Sylvia, Garey & Terri, and Robin all participated.


Destinations BBQ Cruise-in on Saturday, August 5th – Good Fellowship. Garey & Terri, Shawn & Mouse, Nick & Kat attended.


Robin reported on the Harvest Cars and Coffee he attended yesterday. Over 100 cars were there. 


Big Bear Car Show 3 Day Event -  Doug & Carol along with Bob & Patti are up in Big Bear today for the last day of the car show. 


New Business 


After discussion, Kim motioned that we have a list made up before next year starts of Car Shows we know our Chapter will be participating in, Dan seconded, and the motion was carried. Nick will make up a list of Car Shows that members suggest.


Shawn talked to Dave Smith of CR&C International about T-Shirts members were still waiting for. Dave Smith hasn’t called Shawn back with more information yet. Nick knows Chris De Leon of Big Time Designs in Beaumont who does great work at good prices. We must have a total of 24 clothing items (t-shirts, jackets, etc.).  Mouse will have a list available to sign up on at our September Meeting for those who would like to order from Big Time Designs.


Next Meeting will be at Magnolia Church located at 8351 Magnolia Ave., in Riverside on September 10th at 2:00 p.m.
