by Shawn Saunders I was at a car show this weekend talking to a couple of older gentlemen. I’m unsure how long they have been walking with the Lord, but I’m guessing for a while. Sometimes I don’t share because my testimony is personal and even special. But as the day went on and thinking about the guy asking to hear my testimony, I realized that for me, there was something to sharing my testimony. And it was to honor God by sharing what he had done for me when I called, actually screaming out His name that night. We honor God by sharing what he has done for us, and we should praise Him by putting aside the feeling we had before our testimony was given to us and dwelling on the joy He has given us to share what He has done to transform our lives.
Psalms 116:1-2 says, “I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.” So in closing, don’t dwell on what led you to your testimony but on what God has done for you so you can share the glory of your rebirth in Christ with others. Amen
